Preventative Therapy

Tooth decay remains the most common chronic condition among children and adolescents, impacting school performance and attendance. At Smile Craft Dental, we recommend our patients receive an exam and cleaning every six months. This exam will give Dr. Brar a chance to evaluate your oral health, checking for any diseases and addressing other dental concerns. We’ll conduct a cleaning to remove plaque and tartar and review proper brushing and flossing techniques.

Periodontal Therapy

From simple gum inflammation to serious disease, periodontics is a dental specialty that focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease, such as Gingivitis. If your gums are swollen or bleed, these are signs of possible periodontal disease. These diseases can range from simple gum inflammation to severe issues resulting in significant damage to the soft tissue and bone that support your teeth. Ask your dentist if you are experiencing any of these symptoms.

Endodontic Therapy

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment and care of the soft tissues inside your teeth. The most common endodontic treatment is a root canal, which is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. A tooth with decayed or infected nerve tissue can (and most likely will) be very painful. By removing the pulp, nerves, bacteria, and decay inside the affected tooth, it can be saved, stopping the pain and eliminating the need for an extraction. If you are experiencing tooth pain, ask how we can help you get relief.

Prosthetic Appliances

Age, tooth decay, and injury can all cause the loss of teeth. Unfortunately, we don’t always have control over which teeth we lose. Prosthetic dental appliances called bridges and dentures can give you back your brilliant smile, and the function of your missing teeth. Bridges are designed to fill in a gap between healthy teeth, whereas dentures are recommended for patients with several concentric missing teeth. If you have missing teeth and want to get your smile back, as us how we can help.

Oral Surgery

A dental extraction is also known as “pulling a tooth.” While there are treatment options such as fillings and root canals that can be used to save damaged teeth, sometimes they are damaged beyond repair. In these cases, it can be best for your oral health to have the tooth removed. Additionally, some teeth do not emerge from the gums properly, coming out at an angle, sideways, etc., causing crowding, infections or diseased tissue. Teeth emerging this way are called “impacted” and should be extracted to preserve the integrity of your mouth.
